Free Range Whole Chicken

Tullochbeg's free-range chicken earned an exceptional 3-star Great Taste Award in 2025, the highest accolade awarded by Great Taste.

Reared by Kirsty and Ross Williams on their family farm near Tarland in Aberdeenshire, these chickens have plenty of room to roam and are raised with the same care and attention that goes into their award-winning Christmas turkeys. 

And you can taste the difference. Great Taste judges praised everything from the crisp, deeply flavoured roasted skin to the tender, juicy breast meat and richer dark leg meat, describing it as an “exceptional chicken.”

For Christmas, it's a lovely alternative to turkey if you're feeding fewer people or simply prefer chicken. Roast it traditionally with all the trimmings, and don't forget to keep the carcass afterwards. It makes a fantastic base for stock, soup or gravy.
